Díky mmorpg.com se rozvířila debata o možnostech API, lidé se (oprávněně) obávali přílišné otevřenosti API. Aby pak hra po čase nezačala připomínat v některých momentech více než rpg hru GuitarHero, tento efekt mnozí znáte z jiných her, kdy různé addony v podstatě diktují co máte kdy zmáčknout a bez nich jste v partě téměř šikanování pokud si je nechcete nainstalovat.

A jak Zenimax slíbil tak se děje. Prosakují první informace o změnách v API.

Uzamknutí přístupu k bojovým událostem tak, že budeme mít přístup jen ke svím vlastním abilitám. Cizí ability nebude možné monitorovat na žádné úrovni. Zobrazení příchozího zranění a léčení bude omezeno pouze na informaci o hodnotě, nedozvíme se však jméno schopnosti která to způsobila, nebude tam ani informace od koho jsme je obdržely.

Zákaz informací, které zpřístupňoval GetUnitBuffInfo. Nyní bude pouze poskytovat údaje o dlouhodobých buffech a to pouze ty, které máte sami na sobě. Spolu s tím zmizela proměná isLongTermBuff, která vracela ty samé údaje, takže čistění API. Tato změna bude asi nejdiskutovanější, detailnější informace o buffech se prostě hodí nicméně uplně bez informace nejsme ani ve výchozím UI hry. Krátkodobé buffy se zobrazují jako aura kolem hráčova ukazatele zdraví. Jenže co když těch buffů na sebe dáváme více.....

Uzamčení přístupu k informacím o sesílání abilit, odebráním příkazu GetUnitCastingInfo. Toto je nenápadná informace, která bude mít podle mého velký dopad právě na souboje s bossy. Takže by neměla hrozit modifikace, která řekne "teď to kopni", ale budeme se muset řídit animacema postav. 3x Hurá.

A v neposlední řadě došlo k uzamčení informací o statech nepřítele. Takže v pvp již neuvidíte kolik staminy, života nebo many má protivník. Také neuvidíte jeho buffy. Jestli toto bude platit i pro pve bude složitejší získat informace o životech mobů, ale procentuelní informaci tipuji dostaneme, klient tyto ůdaje mít musí pro zobrazování ukazatelů zdraví.

    Removed LogChatText entirely. The user can still create chat logs with the /chatlog command, however the logs are not flushed immediately. It's no longer possible to log arbitrary data to that file.
